Anti-Static NoShock ESD Grounding Floor Mat Kit, approx. 750 x 1000mm
This Grounding Floor Mat is ideal for PC engineers that need to move around a lot within his working area or anyone that suffers from electro static discharge shock.
How it Works
The floor mat is grounded via a grounding discharge cord which is connected to a grounding plug, this plugs into your nearest electrical socket, only the earth is connected.
Included in the kit is a set of heel grounders which must be worn on each shoe, the coloured long cloth strip is tucked inside your shoe or sock, the coloured strip must be touching your skin at all times when using this grounding floor mat.
The dissipative rubber sole strips on the foot grounders connects to the grounding mat when you stand or walk on the mat you will then start to discharge yourself of any static electricity that you have built up in your body.
You must be standing or walking on the grounding mat for this static discharging action to take place, once you come off the mat you will then start to charge yourself with static electricity again. When you move back onto the grounding floor mat, you will once again start to discharge yourself of any static.
